She has PhD and Master’s degree in Human Pathology from Federal University of Bahia / Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) under the advisor of Dr. Aldina Barral; and degree in Biological Sciences (UFBA). Member of the team coordinated by Dr. Manoel Soto in the sandwich doctorate (CAPES Scholarship) in Vaccines and Leishmaniasis (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid / Spain). She did postdoctoral studies at CPqGM-FIOCRUZ / BA investigating inflammatory aspects of salivary leishmaniasis vector on the cells of host immune system. She is currently Adjunct Professor of the Department of Biomorphology at Institute of Health Sciences of UFBA and Researcher Collaborator at the Gonçalo Moniz Research Center / FIOCRUZ (BA). She works in Immunology, Parasitology and Biomorphology with emphasis in teaching Human Histology and research on inflammation area, cell death and immunopathology in Leishmaniasis
