Master’s degree course
Finality
The aim of the Course is a formation of University Professor Researcher. It is based on the concept that the teaching activity develops more properly when the teacher is engaged not only in the dissemination of knowledge but also in the production of knowledge.
Duration
The activities of the Masters course in Pathology will be developed in a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 36 months.

Conclusion work
The conclusion of the master’s thesis is a classical dissertation which should be based on an original study that allows the student to apply an adequate scientific methodology with public oral defense in front of a three-member board (at least one external to PGPAT). Only the conclusion work of the student who has obtained all the required workload in disciplines and has been approved in the activities of the Course will be submitted to judgment.

Doctorate Course
Finality
The aim of the Doctorate Course is provide to professors and researchers, preferably those dedicated to academic activities, the opportunity of in-depth studies, centered on the development of the Doctoral Thesis aiming the development of autonomy and leadership capacity in the area of scientific research .
Duration
The activities of the PhD Course in Pathology will be developed in a minimum period of 24 months and a maximum of 60 months.

Conclusion work
The doctoral dissertation is a thesis in the classical form with public oral defense in front of a five member board (at least two outside the PGPAT). The thesis should present an original theme that represents an advance to the knowledge area.
Only the conclusion work of the student who has obtained all the required workload in disciplines and has been approved in the activities of the Course will be submitted to judgment.
